The haunted office prank

I just read something pretty funny. This prank requires the help of a few other people to pull off properly, and one of you will need to know a few things about electronics. This is best done in an office of some kind, so at work will do.

Set up every electronics appliance in the victim's office so that you can turn it on or off via remote control. Have one person be a skeptic, who just so happens to never be around when things mysteriously turn themselves on or off. Have another person take the side of the victim, who admits to noticing some strange things going on there as well. Have another person, preferably with some kind of authority. Every time this person notices the victim complaining about strange happenings, this person should act annoyed and tell the victim to stop talking nonsense and get back to work. Spread rumours that the office is haunted, and see how many people believe it.

You could take this further and spread a story that the "machines" have evolved some real intelligence, and have grown tired of being used and they want to gain independence from the humans, and eventually take over the world. Kind of like The Matrix. You could have the printers set to print specific pages with some weird cryptic messages on them, and install strange alien sound effects on the computers to play whenever they start up or shut down.

If you use your imagination, you could start some interesting conversations with a prank like this.
